2009 Pay Offer
This offer is ‘final’ and confirmation has since been received in writing. LUL stated that the current economic climate severely restricted them in the type of offer they could afford. Their opening offer was a multi-year deal over 5 years, after this was rejected by all the unions, the length of the deal was reduced to 4 years. This was then offered alongside a 2-year deal.
TSSA’s aspiration was to agree a one-year deal but it was clear that LUL would not enter into a single year deal. From the two options offered, the 2-year deal was considered as the better of the two but TSSA made representations that the 1% increment in year one of the 2-year deal should be increased. The revised offer is as follows:
Pay and Conditions
Year 1: 1.5% increase
Year 2: RPI + 0.5%, OR 0.5%, whichever is the greater
Medical Redeployment - Proposal to review the effectiveness of the current clause 6.2.8 of the Main Agreement in a Joint Working Party.
All other terms and conditions remain the same
2012 Games
As part of the terms of the final offer, it is proposed to discuss the arrangements required to ensure LUL’s service contributes to the successful running of the games and that staff is recognised for this.
This offer will be formally tabled at the ex-Metronet staffs’ company council meeting on 17 July 2009.
TSSA requested release for all industrial staff representatives, (not H &S reps) at local, functional and company council level, including ex-Metronet reps, to attend a meeting at TSSA’s head office with Regional Organiser, Luke Chester on 20 July 2009. LUL have agreed to this and arrangements have been put in place to facilitate their attendance. The purpose of the meeting is to consult the final pay offer with your representatives and to gauge whether TSSA members wish to accept or reject. It is vital that you make contact with your reps prior to this meeting to make your views known. This will assist with determining whether the majority will accept or not. LUL have been told that TSSA cannot comment until TSSA members have been consulted.
