Pay Talks update meeting
Workplace meetings
Are you concerned about TfL’s refusal to;
reimburse 75% of season tickets, as previously agreed?
shorten the deal to two years keeping the link with LU?
and TfL’s discrimination against union members and the introduction of a two-tiered pay structure that divides the workforce?
Then come along to one of the meetings organised by your reps. It is important that all staff are updated on TfL’s recent actions and that members decide the way forward collectively.
Please download flyer for workplace meetings times
All staff and members of TfL affiliated unions welcome so please pass the attached flyer on to others. TfL are on the attack - we need to organise!
Member Update
TfL’s recent action to bully staff into accepting the pay deal by withholding the 75% season pass reimbursement is shocking. But with a rumoured take up on less then 50% it is quite clear that the majority of staff object to being treated in such a way.
But TfL is not immune to pressure, only yesterday the joint trades unions managed to get TfL into confirm on Source that there will be no cut off date for signing up to the pay date and receiving your back pay. In order to force TfL to play fair and reimburse staff season tickets we need to deliver a strong turnout and Yes vote to reject the offer.
TSSA referendum vote
All unions have now agreed to consult or ballot their members so that we can establish our next move. By now you should have received a TSSA referendum paper in the post. Unfortunately the wrong (green) referendum sheet was included so a new one has been sent out. Please return the new YELLOW referendum sheet which you should receive today. Green forms will not be counted.
It is vital that all members participate in this vote as our next course of action must be supported by a large majority of members.
Legal Advice
TSSA is seeking legal advice on the discrimination against members around the introduction of a two-tiered pay system. An update on this will be given at the workplace meetings.
If you have any questions please contact one of your TSSA reps, for information on who your rep is please call the HelpDesk on 0800 3282673. If you would like to get more involved in organising against TfL’s attacks on staff then please contact myself at whitet@tssa.org.uk.
