Railtrack Managers - vote YES for TSSA

Do you work for Railtrack in one of these grades?

- Role clarity bands 1-4
- MGs 1-4 who haven’t signed up to Role Clarity
- Employees who have kept MG status on a personal basis
- Rostered managers
- MS grades
- MGR grades

If so, you’ll soon be sent a ballot paper asking you:

"Do you want the TSSA to be recognised to represent you for the purposes of collective bargaining?"

Why should I vote YES?

TSSA is asking everybody who receives a ballot paper to vote YES to TSSA recognition:

- because every other Railtrack employee has this
- because managers in other large rail companies have this
- because you deserve to have your voice heard

But what does recognition mean?

A trade union is ’recognised’ by an employer when it negotiates agreements on pay and other terms and conditions on behalf of a group of workers. This is known as ’collective bargaining’.

Will this affect my performance-related pay?

No! Under collective bargaining your pay will still be awarded on the basis of individual performance. The only difference is that the parameters will be set through negotiations with TSSA.
