Transport Salaried Staffs' Association

TSSA is an independent, UK-based trade union for the transport and travel trade industries. We have 30,000 members in the UK and Ireland, working for the railways and associated companies.

TSSA has had members in Ireland since the late 1890s; our first branch was formed in Belfast in November 1904.

We represent salaried staff in many different undertakings, and TSSA's affairs are managed by an Irish Committee, elected by the entire membership in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

  1. Iarnrod Eireann Pay and Industrial Relations

    27 April 2016

We have once again written to the Iarnrod Eireann over our concern of lack of movement on the issue of Pay and what appears to be a deteriorating industrial relations environment. It is increasingly frustrating that although the intention of TSSA has always been to constructively engage that this is not being reciprocated. Below for your information is a copy of the letter sent to Director of HR Ciaran Masterson.

  2. Update Dublin Bus Pay Talks

    22 April 2016

TSSA along with other trade unions meet with the company (21/04/2016) at the workplace relations commission to deal with the pay issue. This was our second meeting as directed by the labour court in late March to return to negotiations on pay under the auspices of the workplace relations commission.
