Transport Salaried Staffs' Association

TSSA is an independent, UK-based trade union for the transport and travel trade industries. We have 30,000 members in the UK and Ireland, working for the railways and associated companies.

TSSA has had members in Ireland since the late 1890s; our first branch was formed in Belfast in November 1904.

We represent salaried staff in many different undertakings, and TSSA's affairs are managed by an Irish Committee, elected by the entire membership in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

  1. Labour Relations Commission: Iarnród Éireann

    TSSA along with the other trade unions attended a conciliation conference 24 February 2015 at the labour relations commission in connection to the issue of past and future productivity. This is specifically in relation to clause 4 of the cost containment agreement of September 2014.

    After consultation with members it has become clear that members wanted to reject the current proposals on cost recovery. We have reflected this view in our correspondence to the company.
