Transport Salaried Staffs' Association

TSSA is an independent, UK-based trade union for the transport and travel trade industries. We have 30,000 members in the UK and Ireland, working for the railways and associated companies.

TSSA has had members in Ireland since the late 1890s; our first branch was formed in Belfast in November 1904.

We represent salaried staff in many different undertakings, and TSSA's affairs are managed by an Irish Committee, elected by the entire membership in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

    TSSA has written to CIE requesting clarification on reports that CIE are looking at making changes to the Superannuation Pension scheme.

  2. Meeting with DRD Minister Danny Kennedy

    TSSA meet with the minister of DRD Danny Kennedy and staff from the department on Wednesday 1 July 2015. This meeting was in response to a letter we sent to the minister after the announcement in May of the pause in the public consultation process to allow UNITE trade union to look at finding more efficiencies.
