Learning films

A number of films are available to support the Learning programme:

You can also find out here how you can borrow the Learning Team's Handycam.

TSSA Learning DVD

The DVD presents real learning examples from a range of workplaces featuring a cross section of our ULRs and learners as well as giving an employer’s view. The DVD was sent to all employers where we have a recognition agreement and to the full range of TSSA reps, beyond just ULRs, in all these companies. We positively encourage ULRs and other reps to talk about using these:

  • as part of company Inductions with new starters
  • in discussions with colleagues at our different workplaces
  • at recruitment or other TSSA road shows
  • in company level negotiating meetings
  • at branches
  • at staff side discussions etc.

Sign of things to Come

ennifer Kissick became a TSSA Union Learning Rep as a direct result of taking part in a British Sign Language course in the workplace set up by the union. Here she uses BSL herself as she emphasises the importance of learning Sign language for Translink staff wanting to communicate with the Deaf Community in Northern Ireland. This film was made as part of the 2011 May Day "World of Work" art exhibition which promoted the importance of union learning in the wider community.
