Your rights
TSSA believes that everyone deserves to live and work without facing discrimination. We are committed to celebrating, managing and promoting equality and diversity and challenging discrimination wherever it appears
You have legal rights protecting you from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society. These are underpinned in law by the Equality Act 2010. Our workplace advice guides cover some of the key aspects of discrimination law and our Helpdesk is on hand to provide support and guidance
We have network of committed Equality Reps and even neurodiversity champions. TSSA supports the TUC’s campaign to establish the role of Equality Reps and win recognition of this role with our employers.
From campaigning and representing members, to polices, lobbying and legal advice and guidance, TSSA works tirelessly to promote our equality agenda.
TSSA has established a set of bargaining standards which we engage with employers on to deliver positive equality outcomes. Our Inclusive Rail campaign and bargaining standard has been influential across the rail industry in particular and has helped to put LGBTQ+ issues on the agenda. Become a TSSA workplace rep
Our workplace reps occupy the most important role in our union. As a workplace rep you are a key link in the chain of communication between TSSA and its members, and between your colleagues and their employer.
