TSSA - the Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association - is the union for people in transport and travel.
Founded in 1897, we represent 30,000 administrative, managerial, professional and technical workers in the railway, London Underground, the travel trade, ports and ferries.
We have one of the most diverse memberships of any trade union of our size. Our members range from highly skilled engineers and senior managers to booking office staff and call centre workers.
TSSA is committed to expanding its membership and is currently running a major campaign to unionise travel agents.
We believe all our members can take an active part in achieving change at work. TSSA works with employers to produce better, fairer and more productive working conditions.
TSSA is committed to improving the working lives of our members, as set out in our statement of vision and values, and we offer a wide range of services to our members and their families.
To find out more about TSSA, our annual reports give a detailed membership profile and account of our campaigning activity. Our rule book sets out how the union operates, and our history section sets out our story over our first hundred years.
As an organisation, we are committed to equal opportunities and ethical investment - you can read these policies in full.
