As Mayor of London, Boris Johnson has been in charge of London’s transport network since 2008. In that time, he could have built on the legacy of Ken Livingstone and focused on continuing to improve the capital’s tube and bus services whilst keeping fares down.
Unfortunately, he has taken us all in the opposite direction. Fares have risen dramatically, whilst numerous improvement schemes have been cancelled. Pointless vanity projects like the cable car have cost taxpayers millions of pounds.
Boris has committed to drastic fare rises for the next four years, threatening ordinary Londoners with additional costs of hundreds of pounds at a time when few can afford it.
That’s why TSSA has teamed up with campaign group Sack Boris to raise the alarm about Boris Johnson’s poor transport record as Mayor.
Delays and line closures have become a daily part of Londoners' lives. At the same time, Boris Johnson has wasted our money on pointless vanity projects:
We need a Mayor we can trust to put our transport needs first.

Our new ‘Sack Boris’ Oystercard holder is FREE to everyone who wants one. It has a message on the back about bus fares rising 50% under Boris Johnson, and on the inside there’s facts and figures spelling out just how bad Boris has been for London. The Oystercard holders come in four bold colours and can be ordered online from the Sack Boris website, or collected from the TSSA's HQ in Euston.
To get the message out to Londoners we’ll be holding an action day on Thursday 26th January during the morning and evening rush hours. Get in touch if you'd like to help distribute the Oyster holders at your local station.
