Direct Rail Services (DRS) is a publically owned company, under the control of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority as from 1 April 2005, having formerly been a subsidiary of British Nuclear Fuels Ltd (BNFL). DRS operates railway trains throughout Britain. Principally a freight operator with particular expertise in hazardous cargoes, it also operates charter passenger trains.

Pay Negotiations 2009 Referendum - 18 September 2009: Your TSSA representatives have been involved in discussions with management with regard to renegotiating the 2009 pay deal agreed in 2007. This followed requests from management due to their concerns over the company’s short-term financial position.

NEW (interim) TSSA Local Rep Constituency for Engineering Staff at Crewe - 23 September 2008: Your TSSA Works Council Representatives have recently raised with the Company the issue of the current bargaining arrangements for Unions within DRS. It is our view that as TSSA grows, some members risk being left without adequate local representation.
