LONDON UNDERGROUND STRIKE STILL ON

2 September 2010:Talks aimed at averting a series of strikes by London Underground workers from next week have broken down and the industrial action will now go ahead as planned.

Further Underground Strikes

2 September 2010:TSSA members employed by the underground infrastructure company Tube Lines will be taking strike action from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday 07 Sept 2010. These are predominantly managers, senior managers and clerical grades on performance related pay contracts.

Eurostar Train Managers Begin Industrial Action

31 August 2010:Train Managers employed by Eurostar today began industrial action aimed at stopping the self despatch of Eurostar services from Paris. Members of the TSSA rail union are refusing to take part in any training, induction or coaching in relation to self-despatch of Eurostar Trains by Train Managers.

The ITF has been informed that an organising drive led by ITF affiliated road tranport union, TÜMTIS has been met with escalating aggression against UPS drivers in Turkey. UPS is a US-owned global courier company.

Tubelines: Tube Lines – The Strike is on

2 September 2010: Formal Notice has now been served upon Tube Lines to say that the TSSA strike is on. Why? Because so far, management at Tube Lines has failed to initiate talks with TSSA in granting union recognition for those staff employed on Performance Related Pay contracts.

Eurostar: TSSA Suspends Industrial Action

2 September 2010: TSSA had a lengthy meeting with Eurostar to discuss the dispute involving Train Managers that had started on 31st August 2010, with members taking action short of strike. London Underground: LUL: Strike is on!

2 September 2010: London Underground still refuse to talk sensibly to TSSA and RMT over OSP and the impact of the cuts. This means we have been forced into declaring a 24 hour strike from 21.00 hours on Monday 06 September 2010 until 20.59 hours on Tuesday 07 September 2010.
