Network Rail reiterates that it will not honour agreements – TSSA is in dispute, industrial action ballot imminent

TSSA is now in dispute with Network Rail following their failure to give the assurances sought by the union. Preparations will now begin to undertake a formal ballot for industrial action.

TSSA Organising Director Steve Coe angrily commented: “the communication received late last Friday from Network Rail was clearly intended to insult the union and our members. The short email message sent in the early evening failed completely to even address the issues raised by the union with the company. Network Rail is clearly now daring us to take industrial action, and I have no doubt that our members will meet their challenge.”

Authorisation will now be sought from the Executive Committee to proceed to ballot affected members for industrial action.
