TSSA Calls On Boris to Meet & Sort Out Differences before ACAS

12 January 2016

TSSA Leader Manuel Cortes is asking Boris Johnson to meet him and other tube leaders before ACAS talks over Night Tube issues resume this Friday.
"All tube unions have ever wanted is to reach an agreement with London Underground management that brings LU's once flagship Night Tube policy on line for them without compromising passenger safety standards nor the work-life balance of our members.
"The TSSA accepts that sooner or later Night Tube is going to happen and our members will be proud to play their part in delivering a modern, 24 hour transport system for London.
"Whilst it's good news management have finally agrees to meet us back at negotiating table, it's a pity it's taken the threat of tube strike to get them there.
"The talks are tabled to begin at the end of this week, but I'd still like to invite Boris to meet with the union leaders himself. He's not met us once in his whole time as Mayor.
"It's about time he stopped his political shenanigans. If he met us before Friday this could help pave the way for an agreement that would give Londoners the good news that they'll get the Night Tube he promised and no inconvenience from industrial action."
