TSSA strike action at London Underground suspended

4 September 2015

The strike action by TSSA members due to take place next week has been suspended in order to allow time for talks to continue and further progress to be made.

Two 24 hour strikes were scheduled for next week, starting at 18.30 on Tuesday, 8 September and on Thursday, 10 September. This action will NOT take place and members are instructed to attend work as normal.

Alongside our sister unions in London Underground, TSSA has been meeting this week with London Underground to discuss Fit for the Future Stations and Night Tube. We will provide updates on these talks early next week.

It has taken LU a long time to engage meaningfully with the trades unions, making resolution of this dispute painfully slow, giving rise to frustration amongst everyone involved, TSSA members included. Nonetheless, we are committed to achieving a fair deal for our members in London Underground, which is made possible only by the strength and unity demonstrated by TSSA and other trade union members in London Underground.
