Alstom Chester Pay 2011

Your TSSA representatives have met with the company on a number of occasion is the preceding months to discuss pay for 2011.

The final offer made by the company is the following:

  • 2.5% on basic with effect from 1 April 2011.
  • With effect from 1st April 2012, a guaranteed minimum of 2.5% and maximum of 3% will be awarded, the award being based on the RPI declared by the ONS for February 2012.

The company have expressed that this is the highest offer they can make within the constraints of the contract. However, your representatives feel that it is not a fair reflection of the increase in cost of living faced by members, whilst further widening the disparity in salaries between those based in Chester and others in the wider Alstom group, in particular those working within West Coast.

For these reasons your representatives recommend that you reject this offer.

You will have received a referendum ballot paper. Please vote to either accept or reject the offer and return your ballot paper in the pre - paid envelope by first post on Friday 26th August 2011.
