c2c finally set to respond to pay claim 2010

2 December 2010

Nearly five months after TSSA submitted your pay claim the Company is finally ready to respond. c2c claim they can’t give an answer as the claim was with the Department for Transport (DfT). We know there are but we have written to the DfT for clarification on how long this process should take.

Pay meeting

We have now secured a meeting for 20 December. We have made it clear that we need a response on your pay on this day.

c2c recently won ’London Commuter Operations’ at the National Rail Awards in August. This is a clear reflection of your hard work in the Company. As Julian Drury, Managing Director, told the press: “I am immensely proud of the team at c2c who greatly deserve this award for the consistently high standards they continue to achieve in delivering industry-leading performance which is setting the benchmark for the entire rail industry.

We are now waiting for the Company to honour ‘the team at c2c’ and give you a pay rise that reflects your excellent service. You do not get the best from your staff when they aren’t happy…

If we do not get a definitive response to your claim we will be asking you to vote in a referendum for your views on what to do next.
In the meantime, please fill in our survey. We want to hear your views on how to make life at c2c better. Pass it on to colleagues so we get a full picture.

Your union is only as strong as its membership. If every member recruited one person, we would double our negotiating strength.

Why not become a TSSA rep?

We know you have views on what your union should do- become a rep and take part in those decisions. Contact Jessie on 07894 587 845.
