CalMac Campaign Visits Ports and Offices

28 August 2015

Thanks to the strength and resolution of TSSA membership in voting for Strike Action, TSSA negotiators won valuable concessions in our negotiations with CalMac and Scottish Government. But the battle against privatisation – and against attacks on YOUR pension goes on

Thanks to the strength and resolution of TSSA membership in voting for Strike Action, TSSA negotiators won valuable concessions in our negotiations with CalMac and Scottish Government. These include

· A No Compulsory Redundancies clause which will carry over under TUPE legislation to your new employer

· A staffing costs “clawback” inserted into the Clyde &Hebrides Ferry Services Invitation To Tender by Scottish Government- this means that whoever wins the tender cannot profit by making mass redundancies.

But the battle against privatisation – and against attacks on YOUR pension goes on

From 1st to 11th September TSSA staff are visiting members in ports and officces from Ardrossan in the South to Stornoway in the North. From the headquarters at Gourock to Castlebay, the farthest west of the Hebrides. TSSA is making the time to take the chance to thank you, the members for your support, and to talk to you about your JOBS, PENSIONS and WAGES – all under threat if the proposed privatisation goes through.

This is your chance to chat about the issues that matter to you:

• CalMac privatisation

• Your job, your pension rights, your future

• The recent successfully settled dispute

• How we can help protect your terms and conditions

• How TSSA can ensure your concerns are listened to

• How TSSA can help and support the local community
