Translink Clerical and Contact Centre Pay offer

After conclusion of pay talks with management the company have written to us with the following offer.

Re: Wage negotiations- Clerical

I am writing to confirm the detail of the Company’s final offer on the 2014/15 wage negotiations as outlined in our meeting on 09th December 2014.

· The following items were proposed as part of a 1 year wage settlement:

· 1.50% pay increase on basic rate of pay, paid from 1st April 2014.

· The Company commits to review supervisory associated work activities such as clerical appraisals and return to work interviews through the existing consultative frameworks and if appropriate job evaluation mechanisms.

· The Company recognises the continued introduction of new technology and new ways of working. Where such developments may involve a substantial change to the normal range of duties and responsibilities meaningful consultation and negotiation will take place.

· Exclusion from sick pay scheme; current trigger point of 5 occasions or more occasions in the rolling back 24 months to be increased to 6 occasions or more in the rolling back 24 months

The Company recognises the right of the Trade Union to seek additional negotiations should other Translink groups be awarded a monetary increase above the offer made in this letter.

Re: Wage negotiations- Contact Centre

I am writing to confirm the detail of the Company’s final offer on the 2014/15 wage negotiations as outlined in our meeting on 09th December 2014.

· The following items were proposed as part of a 1 year wage settlement:

· 1.50% pay increase on basic rate of pay, paid from 1st April 2014.

· That in the event of changes to rosters or shift patterns the Company commits to fully consult with the staff and their elected representatives prior to implementation.

· Exclusion from sick pay scheme; current trigger point of 5 occasions or more occasions in the rolling back 24 months to be increased to 6 occasions or more in the rolling back 24 months

The Company recognises the right of the Trade Union to seek additional negotiations should other Translink groups be awarded a monetary increase above the offer made in this letter.

We will shortly be balloting on the offer from the company.

Clerical staff will be done by postal ballot and due to the Christmas period will have a return date of 9 January 2015

The local rep will ballot contact centre members.
