Changes to Contractual Terms and Policies and Procedures

8 February 2011

Update and issue of ballot forms with reference to the proposed contractual changes as set out below.

Contractual Changes

As I hope that you are all aware from previous information supplied by Clive Smith (TSSA rep) and the Company Management informed us of their intention to move staff to Monthly Pay and onto the Performance Management System at a meeting on 8 December 2010.

Since that date Clive has been actively seeking your views on these changes both in person and through informal surveys, which have been fed back to management at regular meetings.

As we are fast approaching the end of the 90 day consultation period which commenced on 8 December we are now duty bound to seek your formal response.

Although all TSSA members working for Intelenet will receive this circular, only those clerical staff who come under the Collective Bargaining Agreement will be sent a ballot paper.

It is important that anyone who receives a ballot form to return it within the defined timescale so that your vote can be taken into account. Also please refrain from completing and returning the Company’s ballot form as your vote will be presented to the Company as a proportionate figure by TSSA and should not be counted twice.

Policies and Procedures

As previously advised the Company has announced that they intend to amend a number of the current Policies and Procedures. Clive and I have had the opportunity to review a number of these and make a number of suggestions, which have in the main been accepted.
The two following Policies have been discussed to finality and as such Clive will shortly be consulting you on these:

Return to Work Interview Policy

Capability Policy

Please take the time to review them and provide Clive with your views so that he can raise them on your behalf at our next meeting on 10 March.

We will of course share any future amended Policies and Procedures when we are in a position to do so.

If anything contained within this circular is not clear or if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact Clive in a first instance who can escalate any issue to myself if necessary.

If you know colleagues who are not in the union, then please pass them a copy of this circular and ask them to join by following this link:
