DRS Pay Update

At the most recent round of pay talks DRS management made an offer of 2% to all grades represented by TSSA, backdated to April 1st 2017

A further offer of 1% was made to Engineering grades in exchange to changes in their working practices, which would result in cost efficiencies. In an admirable show of solidarity, Engineering reps have decided that the benefits of their increased productivity should be shared across the bargaining unit with Management Contract Holders, resulting in a pay offer of 2.35% to ALL DRS staff.

However, Management Contract Holder reps will consult their members to discuss possible cost-saving initiatives that could be undertaken in reciprocation, which may result in a further enhanced pay offer, prior to the next round of talks.

TSSA reps have requested that further talks be postponed until after the result of an ASLEF referendum on their pay offer is known on October 16th.
