Eurostar Election of Company Level Health and Safety Representative

21 August 2013

The TSSA will be holding an election for the above role. This is an important role for our union, and promoting Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the workplace for our members can be very rewarding.

You will work closely with our team of representatives to assist with Health and Safety matters across all areas of the company. You will be required to attend the three monthly Company Safety Meetings alongside your Regional Organiser and the other trades unions.

You will need to be a current TSSA member, have been employed with Eurostar for at least 12 months and if elected will hold the role for a period of three years until the next Company Reps Election. Full training, development and support are provided to the successful candidate and you are entitled to paid release from duty to attend meetings as well as training to undertake the role.

Should we receive more than one nomination from TSSA members then we will hold ballot of all TSSA members to elect our representative.

If you wish to stand please contact us for a nomination form and ensure that you are proposed and seconded by two current TSSA members. Please return this form via the freepost address at the bottom or via fax for the attention of Nick Child, Regional Organiser to be received no later than Monday 16th September 2013. Please feel free to contact myself or Andrew if you wish to know more about the role.

On behalf of TSSA I would like to thank Andrew Doherty for all the hard work and commitment he has put in over the years on behalf of our members, I’m sure you will all join us in wishing him the very best of luck for the future.
