Eurostar - Election of Your Company Council Representatives 2015

13 April 2015

The TSSA continue to represent your interests at every level in Eurostar and following the Local Representative Elections that has recently been undertaken we are now seeking nominations from TSSA members for the role of Company Council Representatives.

As part of the democracy of the union, we hold elections for our two seats on the Eurostar Company Council every three years.

What does a Company Council Representative do?

As a team of two Company Council Reps from any part of the Eurostar Business, with the support and guidance of a TSSA Organiser you will represent the interests of TSSA members at regular companywide bargaining meetings and negotiations on Pay & Terms and Conditions of employment.

This involves quarterly meetings at the Eurostar Company Council as well as ad hoc Company Council Sub Group meetings where issues that affect staff are negotiated and consulted with the company.

Therefore we are inviting TSSA members who may wish to stand for Company Council positions to complete the attached nomination form. You will need to be a TSSA member, an employee of Eurostar with no less than 12 months service and be based in the UK. You will also need to get two current TSSA members (from any part of the company) to support your nomination.

TSSA will provide full training and support and you are entitled to paid release from your duties to undertake this important role.

If we receive more than two nominations from TSSA members we will need to hold an election to allow our members to decide whom they wish to represent their interests going forward.

If you wish to stand please complete and return the nomination form via this link which will need to be returned no later than Friday 8th May 2015  Eurostar CC Nom Form

If you have any questions regarding the role please contact your TSSA Organiser Nick Child.
