Therefore you have given your union reps a clear mandate to seek to undertake industrial action consisting of action short of a strike.

We would like to thank you for your participation in this ballot where we received an overall turnout of 62.1%.

What’s next?

We have formally written to the company today informing them of the result whilst stating that we remain committed to meeting with them to negotiate an improvement on this years pay offer as a means to resolving this dispute.

TSSA reps will now discuss and formulate the plan for action to which you as members pay a key part. We have to give the company seven days notice of our intention to take action short of a strike and the information you provide us in the survey we released last week is vital in this process. If you have not already completed this survey please do so this week using the following link:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FLMANAGERSPAY

We expect to formulate a clear plan of action within the next week or so and will inform you of steps that we will be requiring members to undertake in taking action short of a strike at the same point we give the company the required notice.

You may be aware that RMT have also balloted a number of members they have in the Management Grade and we will liaise with them in going forward with regards to any action that we undertake.

Please continue to speak to non-members within the Management Grade about joining TSSA, if they join the union they are able to be involved in any collective action that we take in going forward.

We will keep you updated on all developments.

We can only seek fair pay for our members with a strong collective response to deliver a clear message to the company that Managers deserve a fair deal.

TSSA – "It’s time for fair pay"
