Go-ahead's profit soars despite record delays

18 February 2016

TSSA Leader Manuel Cortes responds to news that Go-ahead are making large profits, despite poor service delivery

TSSA leader Manuel Cortes has responded angrily to todays' news that Go-Ahead Group's half-year profits have soared to £52m whilst presiding over record rail delays:
"At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed passengers. It should come as no surprise that aging rolling stock, ever rising ticket prices and poor quality service equals more profits.
"Every penny made form passengers should be reinvested back in our railways, the case for public ownership gets stronger by the day."
