A meeting with the company and the Unions was held in Dublin 25/02/2011 regarding the move by the company to withdraw in some grades and change the (BIK) in relation to other grades

A meeting with the company and the Unions was held in Dublin 25/02/2011 regarding the move by the company to withdraw in some grades and change the (BIK) in relation to other grades.

TSSA pointed out the folly of this move and put forward other proposals to deal with this issue.

The company adjourned the meeting to consider the proposals put forward by the Unions. On return to the meeting the company stated that they would return to the Unions with definitive answer regarding the craft grades within a week of this meeting.

TSSA pointed out that the Executive grades, Maintenance grades and ExecutiveTech grades were all impacted by the proposals.

The company requested that TSSA supply the names, grades and location of individuals with concerns, the company have undertaken to review all cases with the view of reaching a resolution.

TSSA request all members in the above grades who have had BIK withdrawn or that may be effected by local changes to forward this office the following:

  • Name
  • Grade
  • Location
  • Length of time you have held BIK
  • Any letters or local agreements entered into with the company
