Iarnród Éireann: Industrial Action by Drivers

6 October 2015

We will be speaking with our sister unions in the drivers grade to determine what impact the possible industrial action will have for our members in the Clerical, Supervisory and Executive grades.

Once we have a clear picture of the nature of any possible industrial action we will then be able to advise members.

TSSA shares similar concerns to the drivers unions and have raised concerns around past and future productivity during discussions at the Labour Relations Commission.

We think it is crucial that Iarnród Éireann honour its commitments to the labour relations agreement and recognise past productivity not just for the Drivers grades but all grades.

It is only right and proper that Iarnród Éireann recognise the significant contribution by clerical, supervisory and executive grades over the past years. Members signed up to the cost containment agreements with the view that all aspects of it would be honoured, including the agreement to negotiate around productivity past and future.
