Invensysrail: Pay Talks

5 November 2012

Update from last Pay meeting, we are awaiting a formal response from the company

Last meeting

Since the outcome of the referendum ballot we have met with the company to seek an improved pay offer, we were advised that we should expect a response in the week commencing the 5 November. As we know that members are anxious to see a resolution to this situation we have written to the company today requesting an update on their position and stating that we expect a response by no later than 12 noon on Thursday 8 November.

What happens if they fail to improve their position

If the company do not improve their offer to at least the amount that was originally on the table then given the strong mandate from our members we will be left with no choice but to run an industrial action ballot calling for our members to support industrial action.

Next Steps

As any industrial action ballot will be carried out by post if you have recently changed your home address or any other work details such as job role or workplace it is important that you  notify the members helpdesk on 0800 3282673 or via email on

It is clear that together we are stronger and so this is why it is imperative that we continue to build our strength and get others to join a trade union, only members of a Trade union can be balloted and have a say in any meaningful way as you cannot rely on the company to play fair so please ask a non-member to join today and get them to go online at
