Island Line 2012 Pay

The TSSA have met with Island Line in regard to the 2012 pay award.

 

In the first meeting we put forward our claim for the following:

  • A substantial Increase to salaries.
  • An increase in Regional Allowances.
  • An improvement in family friendly policies and provisions.
  • An improvement in Annual Leave.

Island Line took our submission away and said they would consider the TSSA submission. During that meeting Island Line informed us of the current economic climate in the United Kingdom and how that was affecting them as a business and that they believed that they could not match RPI figure for August 2012 which stood at 2.9%.

We have now received a final offer from Island Line as follows:

  • 2.5% Increase in salaries and South East Allowances from the 1st October 2012.
  • Minimum increase in rates of pay and salaries of £500.
  • Introduction of family and friends concessionary travel facilities scheme.

TSSA believe that this offer is best we can achieve. TSSA and our representatives have accepted this offer. The acceptance of this offer does not mean that TSSA accepts the principle of pay increases under the rate of RPI (Retail Price Index) and I will inform the company of this.
