Just the Ticket: Sack Boris As Mayor

26 January 2012

Around 50,000 London commuters were invited today to sack London Mayor Boris Johnson for his record in pushing up tube and bus fares over the last four years.

They were handed "Sack Boris Oystercards" as they travelled into the capital where they were met by a union demo and a Victor Meldrew lookalike carrying placards reading: "I Don't Believe It, Boris Has Put Up Fares by 50%"and "P45 For Boris-Londoners Cannot Afford 4 More Years".

Led by the TSSA rail union, Labour Party and Green party members handed out wallets to commuters containing the sack Boris cards. They were supported by non party members from the Common People activist group.
