Communicating through Social Media 7th March 2014

TSSA has arranged a one day event for members interested in finding out how to use Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in their union, their workplace or their community.

The tutor will cover how to set up and maintain a Facebook page and Twitter account, how to create effective, compelling social media for these networks and some of the dos and don’ts of representing organisations on the internet.

The event will include practical hands-on time using a variety of social media and will be delivered in a way that will allow complete beginners and the internet-savvy experienced users to learn something new.

Whether you’re considering wanting to get more active in the community, your union or applying for promotion this opportunity is for you. You don’t need any qualifications and you don’t need to have done anything before.

The event will take place on Wednesday 7th March in Glasgow. It will run from 10 – 6 and lunch will be provided. If you need help arranging release from work please contact your local office rep in the first instance or TSSA Scotland’s Learning Organiser, Liz Warren-Corney, on 07872 507201.

If you are interested and want to find out more you can call Liz on 07872 507201, or email her here at warren-corneyl@tssa.org.uk
