London Underground 2011 pay - Latest news

LU made an improved pay offer yesterday and whilst they call it a 'final offer' they are still prepared to look at re-packaging!

The offer made to your negotiating team was:

Year 1, basic pay increase of 5%

Year 2 to 4, February RPI +0.25% (or 0.25% underpin)

Year 5, February RPI +0.5% (or 0.5% underpin)

This offer, by virtue of it continuing to be based over 5 years, is too long and reduces our ability to negotiate on your behalf over a long period. At this stage the company have indicated they may look at re-packaging so the next steps will be for TSSA to meet with functional representatives and agree a position on a way forward. Following this and any correspondence with the company we will then be in a position to put out the final terms of any final offer to our members to decide whether they wish to accept. or reject it.
