LUL: 48 hour strike to go ahead

To lift strike action at this stage would only bring to a halt all of the progress made so far. Information about preparations for strike action and picket lines is provided below:

On Thursday a meeting of TSSA LU Reps took place, at which they were given a full update on the outcomes of recent ACAS talks. There was full support for the planned strike action from reps, and they are now planning for strike action and picket lines. If you need any more info or have any concerns, please contact either your local or functional council representative.

The Helpdesk can be contacted by members on 0800 328 2673 and can provide advice and assistance. It is important that members remain strong and united over these next few days if we are to achieve our aspirations.

Strike Action

There will be two 24 hour strikes next week. TSSA members who would otherwise book on for any shift between18:30 hours on Tuesday, 25 August 2015 until 18:29 hours on Wednesday, 26 August 2015 and between 18.30 hours on Thursday, 27 August until 18.29 hours on Friday, 28 August are instructed by the General Secretary not to do so.

TSSA Guidance and Information

Your functional council reps and TSSA full-time organisers have met to discuss and agree our plan of action in preparation of next week’s strike. Picket lines and station locations have been agreed and are detailed below.Information and guidance packs will be available ahead of picket lines and can be collected, along with strike boards, leaflets, flags, armbands, guidance notes, etc. from Head Office, Walkden House, at the following times:

Monday, 24 August: 12.00-17.00
Tuesday, 25 August: 09.00-17.00

Volunteers for Picket Lines

TSSA members are asked to volunteer for picket lines. Please make contact with your functional council reps - or email Mel Taylor, TSSA Organiser, to advise at what times and at which locations you will be available to attend. Presently, picket lines are planned for the following locations on both days:
