Network Rail 1-4 Industrial Action Ballot Update

22 August 2011

On Thursday of last week the TSSA announced the result of our industrial action ballot. Members voted overwhelmingly (by a margin of 3 to 1) for industrial action short of strike action.

Your area council representatives met on Friday and agreed to await the outcome of a meeting this week between Gerry Doherty and David Higgins before calling any industrial action.

It remains TSSA’s hope that our dispute, over fair pay and respect at work, can be resolved through negotiations.

However, we are very keen to hear the views of members regarding what actions would be effective and well supported should the talks later this week break down.

Please visit: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NR1-4industrialaction and let us have your views.

Please also encourage colleagues who are not yet members to join the TSSA: http://www.tssa.org.uk/en/join-us/index.cfm

If you would like to know more about how you can get involved in playing a role in your union please email: organising@tssa.org.uk
