Network Rail announce "100 days plan"

12 February 2019

TSSA is here for our members

Andrew Haines has finally announced the outcome of his review, and the answer is....deeper devolutionNo surprises there.

After having carried out an extensive (and often painful) process of centralisation, then several failed attempts at devolved "alliances", Network Rail will now be devolved back to a regional level.

While we await further details on exactly what the new structure will look like in practice, the announcement that there will be potential job losses is a concern for everyone.

Whether you work in a Route Business or in a Central Function like IP, you can be assured that TSSA is here to support you, as an individual and collectively through the consultation process.

Through your Union Reps, our members will have an opportunity to get your views heard by those leading the change programmes at a senior level. And we are looking for volunteers to co-opt into local Rep positions to get involved in consultations so that your team's voice is heard and your colleagues are represented.

We commit to examine every decision that may remove jobs, fight for redeployment, constructively challenge proposals and seek to ensure that the skills, knowledge and experience that our members bring to the railway is not thrown away.

Help us to help you: find out more about how you can support your colleagues as a TSSA Rep: email:

TSSA - over 120 years of representing railway staff. Whatever the future holds, we are here for you.
