Network Rail: Glasgow Members' Meeting on Bands 1-4 Pay, 17 June 2011

13 June 2011

In order to keep members up-to-date with the pay claim campaign and to discuss what can be done locally to build support for the campaign, this meeting in Glasgow has been organised.

All members in Network Rail Bands 1-4 should now have received a circular updating them on the situation regarding this year’s pay claim.

In short, the TSSA will be balloting its members on possible industrial action unless an improved offer which meets members’ aspirations is made by Network Rail:

  • An increase in the ‘pay pot’ at least equal to RPI plus 0.5%, and no less than what has been offered to Bands 5-8.
  • A pay rise which is distributed fairly, and a commitment to developing a fair and transparent pay structure.
  • A review of long hours and unpaid overtime, an extension of flexible and remote working policies.
  • An extension of travel subsidies and facilities.

In order to keep members up-to-date with the pay claim campaign and to discuss what can be done locally to build support for the campaign, the meeting advertised below has been organised.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for members to raise any other issues of concern that they may have (e.g. transfers to Milton Keynes, McNulty Report, devolution, current re-organisations,
etc.).

Friday, 17th June, Midday to 2.00pm,

TSSA Offices, 180 Hope Street (between West Regent Street and Bath Street)

Refreshments Available

Please feel free to attend just for part of the meeting, if you cannot get to the TSSA offices until after midday, or need to leave before two o’clock.

If you are interested in being a rep for Bands 1-4 but are unable to attend the meeting, please contact the Glasgow TSSA office on: 07894 512862 or 07711 102950.
