Network Rail Pay Update: Offer Rejected!

12 March 2015

March 2015 circular outlining rejection of Bands 5-8 and equivalent and Controller Grades offers.

Network Rail Pay Update: Offer Rejected!

Your Area Council Reps for Maintenance and Operations and Customer Services Bands 5-8 and equivalent and Controller Grades met this week to share our members’ views on the company’s offer.

The reps unanimously decided our position:

  • REJECT the company’s so-called “offer”
  • Write to the company demanding a meeting to discuss an improved offer, a commitment to maintaining members’ terms and conditions through CP5 and a commitment to no compulsory redundancies

More reasonable than reasonable

Your reps were clear that if we are unable to secure positive talks with the company we will have no choice but to ballot our members for industrial action. We expect to meet the company with representatives of our sister unions once the RMT have concluded their referendum ballot to decide whether they too will reject or accept the offer.

For previous details of the company’s offer see http://bit.ly/NRscraps

We will be issuing further communications with members and corresponding with the company soon.
