London Midland Pay 2015 – Acceptance of Offer

27 October 2015

Following TSSA’s rejection of the pay offer put forward by London Midland in September for non management grade staff, the company subsequently submitted an amendment regarding those paid over £40,000.

Pay Referendum

Thank you to all those who voted in the latest referendum. The 2015 pay offer was overwhelmingly approved, and I have written to notify the company of our acceptance. It is clear that this additional concession was only achieved due to TSSA’s membership standing up and challenging the company.

The 2015 offer consists of:

ü 1 April 2015 – 1.5% pay increase (February 2015 RPI plus 0.5%) for all employees

ü An additional 1.0% pay increase from 01 July 2015 for those employees on salaries of under £17,000

ü An additional 0.5% pay increase from 01 July 2015 for those employees on salaries of over £17,000 and under £40,000

ü An additional 0.3% pay increase from 01 January 2016 for those employees on salaries over £40,000

ü Dynamic Allowances to increase by 2% as at 01 April 2015

The offer also included additional improvements to family friendly policies. Payments including backdating will be made into salaries from 20 November 2015.

Management Grade Pay Talks

Following a number of postponements, a date for the management pay talks has now been set for 10th November 2015. We will update you with developments of these negotiations as they progress.

We still need representatives

We have some vacancies throughout the company, regardless of where you work within London Midland if you are interested in being a being a workplace representative or contact please email Vic Walsh on or contact our members helpdesk on 0800 328 2673 and we can let you know how you can play your part in TSSA.

If you are aware of non-members, then why not tell them that TSSA have secured improvements to the pay offer on everyone’s behalf and ask them to join us and make us stronger at:

If every TSSA member were able to encourage just one colleague, who is a non-member, to join us we could double our strength overnight.
