PPF Programme Update: National Principles Consultation

19 December 2019

Network Rail and TSSA bands 1 to 4 national representatives met this week and had a collaborative National Principles consultation meeting for the Putting Passengers First (PPF) programme.

1.      Network Rail previously committed not to put any bands 1 to 4 colleagues at risk of redundancy before the first quarter of 2020.   As part of our continued consultation on the PPF programme Network Rail has committed that we will now not serve bands 1 to 4 colleagues with notice of redundancy, if required, before 1 June 2020.

2.      Today, we also started to explore the use of agile working and flexible working in relation to the PPF reorganisation changes and committed to work together to agree how this might be applied.

3.      Network Rail reconfirmed the recently-briefed position on the company-wide 2019-20 Performance-Related Pay.

4.      TSSA and Network Rail committed to work together to ensure Bands 1-4 colleagues are kept informed as to the position of consultation and how you can be supported throughout the PPF changes.

We have planned a series of National Principles consultation meetings in 2020 and will keep you updated on these as our discussions progress.
