Rugby Electrical Control Office

25 November 2010

Members vote YES to Industrial Action, at the Network Rail Rugby Electrical Control Office

The result of the Industrial Action ballot of our members based at the Rugby Electrical Control Office is as follows:

11 Ballot papers issued, 10 returned.

All 10 votes cast in favour of Strike Action.

All 10 votes cast in favour of Industrial Action Short of Strike Action.

A clear mandate

Members have therefore given a clear mandate to their Union for Industrial Action, both short of Strike Action and Strike Action itself.

A programme of Industrial Action is being issued to the company. This with a view of bringing about a change of heart regarding the company’s decision to unilaterally impose a detrimental roster and other control measures on our members. These changes will have the effect of reducing their remuneration and also a change to their current working arrangements.
