Sadiq Khan & Irish Labour leader Brendan Howlin join TSSA pro-Free Movement rally in Brighton

TSSA is proud to announce a full line up of speakers for the End Workers Exploitation, Not Freedom of Movement they are hosting at Labour Party conference this year.

London Mayor, Sadiq Khan and Irish Labour Leader, Brendan Howlin TD, will join Manuel Cortes, TSSA General Secretary, at a rally calling on the Labour Party to end workers exploitation not freedom of movement at a the party conference fringe meeting this weekend.

They will be joined by UCU General Secretary, Sally Hunt, BFAWU President, Ian Hodson, Claude Moraes MEP, Tulip Siddiq MP, Alison McGovern MP, Rupa Huq MP, Geraint Davies MP, Unison Policy Advisor,Narmada Thiranagama and journalist Maya Goodfellow.

The broad panel of labour movement speakers reflects the strength of feeling to protect workers’ rights against a Tory Brexit.

TSSA leader Manuel Cortes said:
"In the midst of Tory chaos, this rally characterises the voice of reason in our movement. I am pleased to host such a great panel to challenge the Brexit myths and to argue for Britain to retain free movement principles."

The rally, which is being co-hosted with online Labour news website, LabourList, will be held in The Grand Hotel, 97 King's Road, Brighton at 9pm on Sunday (Sept, 24).
