South West Trains 2014 Pay Award

22 December 2014

TSSA have had three meetings where your union reminded South West Trains that we were looking for a substantial increase for our members.

South West Trains in turn stated that they were currently in receipted income below predicted income in the franchise agreement. TSSA reminded South West Trains that our members had received below RPI increases in the last two years. In the second meeting we had a first offer of a 1.9% and a minimum increase of £450 per annum or 2.1%. That offer was rejected by the TSSA.

We have now received a final offer from South West Trains, which has two options, as follows:

· 2.1% Increase in salaries from the first Monday in October 2014, or a minimum increase of £450 onto basic salaries whatever is the greater,

RPI or 0.25%, whatever is the greater, increase from the first Monday in October 2015.

· 2.3% Increase in salaries from the first Monday in October 2014,

RPI or 0.25%, whatever is the greater, increase from the first Monday in October 2015.

TSSA considers that this offer has not reached the level that is acceptable to our members. We recognise, however, that there are two options and TSSA intends to hold a referendum of our members in this regard in early 2015 which will allow you to choose between the two options, or reject the whole offer.
