16 June 2015
TSSA have now had two meetings with Southeastern to discuss the 2015 pay award.
At the first meeting we put forward our claim for the following:
· A substantial Increase to salaries.
· An increase in Regional Allowances.
· An improvement in family friendly policies and provisions.
· An improvement in Annual Leave.
· Reduction in the working week
· Elimination of non-pensionable pay
`At the first meeting Southeastern said they had considered our submission and they offered a no strings offer of 1%, which the TSSA rejected at that meeting.
At our second meeting, Southeastern made the following offer, emphasising that inflation was low (RPI 1%) at the moment and they believed that this was good offer. The Offer was a follows:
· 2015 1.75% Increase in salaries and regional allowances with a minimum uplift of £350.
· 2016 Salaries and regional allowances to be increased by the percentage for RPI for February 2016 or 1.5% whatever is the greater.
· 2017 Salaries and regional allowances to be increased by the percentage for RPI for February 2017 or 1.5% whatever is the greater.
Whilst the TSSA is not adverse to a multiyear deal, TSSA rejected this offer as not meeting the expectations of our members and we have requested a further meeting. We will, of course keep you advised of developments.
