Southeastern ASG 2014 Pay Offer

3 February 2014

TSSA and Southeastern have concluded discussions on the pay award for 2014 for the Admin Support Grades.

During discussions the TSSA drew attention to the fact that the cost of living for our members had cut into their salaries as the inflation rates for household budgets such as food, utilities and petrol was higher than the average inflation rates during 2013. The company emphasised that they were in revenue support at the moment and the Department for Transport would be sanctioning any pay increase. TSSA emphasised the crucial role this grade plays in the smooth running of Southeastern. The company submitted a final offer of a pot of 2.6% (equivalent to RPI in November 2013), which depending on your Performance Development Review could range from 2.9% for A rating, 2.75% for B rating, 2.6% for C rating, to 1% for D rating.

However, there is a condition linked to the offer of employees remaining in smart pensions’. Although employees still have the option to drop out of the scheme in March 2014, if they did they would not be eligible for the pay increase.

TSSA acknowledges that the clause will cause some of our members’ difficulty in accepting therefore we would welcome your views. Please contact Iain Anderson ( before the 14th February 2014 if you have any comments.
