Southern Band D grades Pay 2014

3 February 2014

TSSA and Southern have concluded discussions on the pay award for 2014 for the Band D grades.

During the discussions the your union TSSA drew attention to the fact that the Band D grades have seen a reduction in their numbers during 2013 without seeing a reduction in the amount of work they carried out. The company emphasised that they were in revenue support at the moment and the Department for Transport would be sanctioning any pay increase. TSSA emphasised the crucial role this grade does in the smooth running of Southern.

The company submitted a final offer of a pot of 3.2% (above RPI in November 2013) which depending on your Performance Development Review could range from 4.8% to 0.0% with the average increase of 3.2% for those who were seen to be a “good performer”. TSSA have accepted the offer on behalf of our members as we believe that in the current economic climate this offer, meets the aspirations of our members.
