TfL Pay Negotiations 2019

16 September 2019

All the latest details from the TfL pay talks:

Having conducted a survey which was completed by hundreds of TfL staff, TSSA submitted a 15 page pay claim for this year's round of pay talks.

Under pressure from TSSA, TfL have increased their offer from a 0.75% budget for base pay increases to 1% and revised the offer to include a minimum increase for the lowest paid staff.

TfL have confirmed that their revised proposal is a 'full and final offer' and that their proposed distribution of base pay increases is as follows:

Pay Award - Pay Band 1
For those eligible employees with a performance rating of ‘2’ or higher:

  • Those paid less than £24,500 will be awarded a £500 consolidated increase rather than the 1%;
  • Employees above £24,500 and below the maximum of £30,500 will receive a 1% consolidated increase;
  • Those above the maximum will receive a non consolidated amount equivalent to the 1%;
  • In addition a ‘one off’ non consolidated payment of £250 to all eligible Pay Band 1 employees with a performance rating of ‘2’ or higher.

Pay Award - Pay Bands 2 & 3
For eligible employees the budget has been increased to 1% which will be distributed in accordance with the 2019 PfP Base Pay Matrix, with actual levels of award dependent upon performance rating and pay range zone.
