Trade Union Silent Vigil - Murder of David Black

5 November 2012

Following the brutal murder of Mr David Black a member of the POA Trade Union, it is the intention of The Northern Ireland Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions to hold a silent vigil at Belfast City Hall from 1.00pm-1.15pm on Tuesday 6th November.

You are requested to bring only your trade union banner to the front of the City Hall on the day. We appeal to all trade unionists and others to attend this vigil as an act of solidarity for a murdered worker.

We have written to employers notifying them of the silent vigil and that if TSSA members request to attend that your employer look favourably on your request were is practical taking heed of business needs.
