TSSA calls for urgent assurances from Grayling over future of Transport for London

19 February 2018

TSSA are extremely concerned to hear rumours that transport monster Chris Grayling is preparing the ground for the financial collapse of Transport for London and to strip control from the Labour elected Mayor.

Leader Manuel Cortes said:

“The Transport Secretary needs to be open about his plans. We need urgent assurances that he is not playing political games with London's public transport system for ideological ends and political point scoring.

“I will be liaising with the Mayor’s Office and the Shadow Front Bench to resist this.

“Grayling should be working hard to improve our rail infrastructure and put the economic interests of the country, the public purse and most importantly, putting passengers first. He should be focussed on clearing up the mess he has created on the East Coast Mainline rather than picking petty political fights."
