TSSA Comment on resignation of Neil Findlay

28 May 2019

TSSA today thanked Lothian MSP Neil Findlay for his years of radical public service after he announced his resignation from the Scottish Labour front bench. TSSA General Secretary Manuel Cortes said “Neil has been a good ally to our members in Scotland, a fierce advocate for a more radical Scottish Labour and a loyal supporter of Jeremy Corbyn. And personally, he is a great Comrade and friend.

“We were extremely proud to have supported Neil’s bid for leadership of Scottish Labour in 2014 and we are grateful for the support he has given to our union’s campaigns, especially our campaign for public ownership of ScotRail.

“No-one who has worked with Neil can doubt his passion or his commitment. I am certain that whatever he does next will be marked by that same passion for a socialist future that works for the many, not the few. I wish him all the best.”
