TSSA launch Olympic Survival Guide app

25 July 2012

London's Labour's transport spokesman Val Shawcross launches a new Olympic Survival Kit app with TSSA leader Manuel Cortes.

"I am on the Phone at the Olympics! But I should be alright, thanks to my new survival kit."

They shared a giant Dom Jolly style mobile phone at Euston Station to alert Londoners and visitors to a new guide to help them get around the capital over the next five weeks.

As well as helping visitors, the app will also contain advice for those who wish to escape the crowded capital during the greatest show on earth.

"I think it is a very useful tool which allows instant access to vital travel information," said Ms Shawcross, deputy chairman of London Assembly transport committee.

"It is obviously aimed at the visitor," added the union leader."But we are also offering travel advice to those who may want to escape London for a bit and peace of quiet as well."
