TSSA respond to ScotRail delay news

7 August 2017

TSSA have responded to news that more than half of ScotRail trains are now arriving late.

TSSA General Secretary, Manuel Cortes said,

"Keeping your country's trains running on time is a traditional yardstick of good government. But in Scotland, where trains now run late as a matter of course, we can actually blame two governments for the failure of trains to arrive on time. First the Dutch government who own Abellio who are consistently failing to deliver on their ScotRail franchise commitments. And secondly, the SNP government itself for not having already taken back the keys from Abeliio who make a million pounds a month in profit out of Scots passengers for making them habitually late. For Scottish commuters a bit of ScotRail Independence can't come soon enough. I dare the SNP to finally rise to that independence challenge!"
