TUC March and Rally: Britain Needs a Pay Rise - final information

15 October 2014

Practical details ahead of Saturday's march and rally

Where are we and how do we get there?

Form-up from 11:00 - TSSA is in zone 9. The march will move off at 12:00. The route and map showing the form-up location is below. This route is shorter than previous years. There is also a route for the less able-bodied (please see over). Be warned Temple Tube Station is likely to close and therefore you will need to use Blackfriars, Southwark or St. Pauls.

On the march

TSSA are bringing activity bags for any children, hoodies, ponchos and lunches. We will also have the TSSA balloon and TSSA flags. Please feel free to bring your SOG or branch banner but be aware of the weather and how this might affect your ability to carry it.

Top Tips

The weather report has been changing daily for Saturday between bright sunny and 210c to wet and warm 230C. Whatever the weather, wear comfortable shoes that you don’t mind getting mucky (Hyde Park can quickly get muddy when it’s wet). Wear / bring layers and a waterproof coat and perhaps a backpack. Finally bring along a drum, some maracas or even a tambourine - the more noise we make the better!
